Vaccines Are Still Important

It is still very important for children and adults to be immunized.  Thanks to better nutrition, less crowded living conditions, antibiotics, and vaccines, many diseases do not occur or spread as much as they used to in the USA.  But bacteria and viruses that cause diseases still remain in the environment.  Some diseases are still very common in other parts of the world.  In this global world, travelers exposed to disease can bring it back without knowing and quickly infect people that are not immunized.  The more people that are not immunized, the more the disease can spread.  Immunizations can be life saving. Please see "Read more" below for links and a video from the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The video and document links below contain valuable information from the CDC regarding vaccinations.  Additional links and information on this and other important health topics are always available on the Resources page of this website.  You will find the Resources tab on the left side of the homepage, or click here to visit the page now.
